FriendFeed, SEO, and Content Outposts

by Andy Brudtkuhl on February 11, 2009

I talk about developing content outposts all the time as part of your web strategy – which means to syndicate your content to as many channels as you can. I tell you this for many reasons, mainly because it increases exposure and helps you build multiple channels of traffic.

In this case you can see the power of FriendFeed as a content outpost…

Does it make sense yet? Yes, that’s the first page of Google where I have two of the top five spots for the keyword “sxsw checklist“. One from my initial piece of content and the other from FriendFeed. This shows the beauty of a content outpost – especially one with a high page rank like FriendFeed.

Please use this for good and don’t let Internet Marketing spammers latch onto it. We would like FriendFeed to stay spam free. :-)
